I have been a very bad blogger! And also very bad to my nails! This is the first time I've done nail art in over a month! :-O :-O My trip to New York took a toll on my nails and they all broke. My index had the worst break, it broke about halfway down the nail bed! It is just now growing back out so it could be filed down to look even, so I'm back to nubb-nubb-nubbins again!
I must admit, I don't feel too bad about beeing away from my blog for so long... ;) We have had the best July in 100 years(!) and I have done pretty much nothing but enjoying the weather, tanning, bathing and just relaxing, it has been AMAZING!!! :D But it does feel good to be back as well, and it feels great finally having art on my nails again!
I was struggling to find inspiration, so I just picked up my favorite mint polish, Essie - Mint Candy Apple and used some saran wrap to add a gold accent to the sides with OPI - Glitzerland. When I was done I felt it needed a little more, so I went all wild and painted some leopard spots over the gold.
I am loving how this turned out, and I'm glad I didn't stop with just the gold saran wrap. This manicure even makes me hate my nubbins less!
By the way, I got a back up of Mint Candy Apple, and the color is completely different! Does anyone know anything about this? Has Essie changed the formula or something?
That's a pretty mint! I like the gold and black leopard prints running down one side of the nail too.
