Guest post: Paulina of Paulina's Passions

The last guest post for now is from the amazingly talented Paulina of Paulina's Passions. Paulina is so creative in her nail art and does gorgeous florals, just like she has for you today!

Hi the beautiful readers of the Polished Elegance. It's Paulina from Paulina's Passions here. It's so good to be here again and sharing my passion for nails with you. Our beautiful Lisa is enjoying her vacation right now, so I took over her blog to share a special nail art for this guest post. Thanks Lisa for inviting me. It's always an honor to be on your beautiful blog.

You probably know, that I am always drawn to floral nail art, so I didn't have to think long what to make for this guest post. This nail art is inspired by a beautiful floral pattern I came across on Pinterest. It was created by the talented textile designer Abigail Siegel. I love recreating patterns and this one is so bright and summery. Love it! I made a few changes in the colors, so it's not 100% recreation. Maybe it's better to call it an inspiration :)

I started off this mani with dark navy blue nail polish, which is China Glaze Queen B. Then with a white nail polish I made rough shapes of the flowers and leaves. I wanted all the colors to pop over the dark background, hence the white base. I used a whole bunch of different nail polishes to create these colorful flowers. The pink roses are made with GOSH Bubble Gum and W7 Fuchsia. For the orange ones, I used Yes Love no. F12 and P2 Summer Calling (which is also a little shimmery).

The yellow flowers are made with a bright OPI Need Sunglasses? For the leaves, I used the most beautiful teal nail polish from KIKO (no. 389). I topped everything with a layer of Glisten&Glow HK Girl top coat to even everything out and add shine. I used my thin nail art brush to free hand all the flowers. This design took a while, but I think it was worth it. It's so colorful and the flowers are so summery. I also like the contrast between the dark background and bright flowers. It seems like the colors don't really go together, but somehow everything works well.
