A little while ago I asked for nail art ideas on my Instagram account. I wanted to write down all these ideas and put them in a jar for when my inspiration eludes me. I got lots of ideas and wrote them down on pieces of paper and stuck them in this little jar.
Today I was all out of inspiration and decided to try my first lucky dip ;) I got a note with "reverse french", or "ruffian" if you want.
I wanted to wear pink, since it's October and Breast Cancer Awareness month, it feels appropriate.
So I started with two coats of OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls, then a coat of OPI - Pink Friday just a little above the cuticle line.
I felt a little plain, so I decided to use my new MoYou London plates and stamped on my index and middle using OPI - MBSW and MoYou Tourist Collection #7.
On my ring and thumb I placed a rhinestone for a little extra bling!
I've been wearing dark polish for a while, and was in the mood for something light and girly, so I really like how this turned out :)
I really like the idea of the jar! And your nails are stunning as usual!
ReplyDeleteSo very feminine! I am not a fan of the ruffian, but this....this is gorgeous! I think it is the subtle difference between the two colors. I may have to revisit this type myself.
ReplyDeletePretty!
ReplyDeleteThe jar idea is really brilliant! Beautiful manicure :)
ReplyDeleteA jar full of inspiration - genius! And these nails - very elegant indeed! :)
ReplyDeleteOk, now first of all I gotta say this: that jar thing is such an awesome idea!!! Great, great one! :D
ReplyDeleteAnd the soft pink ruffian came out real gorgeous - not all colours do well with this design but these two i like :)
Such a pretty and delicate mani :) Love it Lisa! And the jar! WOW! What a great idea for the times when your inspiration is gone...
