Day 15 of the new 31DC is a technique I've never tried before, water color! At first I thought it was the same as water marbling (which I've also never tried), so when I googled for tutorials I was quite surprised to find it was a completely different thing! Hehe :p

Water color is a really nice effect, even though I'm not completely happy with the colors I chose. They do work together, but it's just too much for my taste, I think a purple instead of the coral, and maybe just the blue or green, not both. So I'll give it a try again sometime, but with different colors :) By the way, I followed this tutorial for water color nail art.

This week's Sunday Stamping challenge was spring flowers, and how perfect isn't this water color as a base for spring flower stamping? So I decided to go ahead and do two for one!

I think it looks much better with the stamp on top, the white flowers sort of mutes the busy colors. I have so much polish on my nails right now though. Base coat, two coats of white, top coat, thick blobs for water coloring, another top coat, stamp and yet another top coat! My nails are like three times as thick. I'm probably going to have to soak in nail polish remover for 30 minutes or something to get it off, lol :p
