A simple tape mani today.
Last week I was on vacation and managed to have posts scheduled for the entire week, expecting to do lots of nail art when I got home. However, this week the weather has been simply too nice to sit inside and do my nails!
I can't remember the last time we had this much sun and high temperatures, and defenitely not in July! So I got my priorities in order and went to the beach ;)
But of course, when my five day old mani started chipping I had to do a new one. And inspired by the gorgeous summer weather we'd been having I decided to go with mint, white and shimmery, glittery pink.
I started with two coats of OPI - My Boyfriend Scales The Walls, and inspired by this manicure by Liloo, I taped off parts of my nails and painted in Essie - Mint Candy Apple and the amazingly beautiful Deborah Lippmann - Mermaid's Kiss.
Mermaid's Kiss looks gorgeous in the bottle, which is why I bought it (duh), while on vacation I wore it alone and when I first put it on I didn't really like it very much... But after a while I started to like it, then really like it and finally, I am now in love! And ended up wearing it on it's own for four days. And I defenitely will do so again, and show you, because it's soooo pretty!
What a pretty tape manicure! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colour combo! And that glitter Mermaid's Kiss is to die for! :D
ReplyDeleteps. I know too well what you mean with too nice a weather outside to stay home ;) enjoy!!!
I follow your blog for a while now and for your manicures I've got nothing but compliments! Your manicures are really awesome: interesting, creative, precise... Especially tihs one, I love it and I'll definitely try to recreate it! But I have to ask: what's worng with your cuticula? It seems pretty dry and that gives a bit messy look to your nails. Please, don't get me wrong, what products do you use to soften and moisture the cuticula?
ReplyDeleteI saw some other manicures you posted since I visited last time and it' actually only this manicure. The others are great so please ignore my comment. :D
DeleteLol, that's ok! This was actually the first manicure I did after more than a week of vacation where I had not cared very well for my cuticles. Also, the top coat flooded my cuticles and most of what looks like dry bits of cuticle is actually dry top coat! And I didn't notice until opening the pictures on my computer which was a few days after I did the mani :p
