This week we are being inspired by the 90's! I had no idea what to do for this manicure, I have been thinking about it for weeks, but inspiration suddenly struck me in the nick of time ;)
Can you tell what inspired me? Can you?!
Spice Girls of course!! ;D Can you tell who inspired which nail?
I'll reveal the answers for you:
On my thumb I painted the Union Jack, inspired by "Ginger Spice's" iconic dress.
"Posh Spice" is dressed in black and white on my index.
I did an Adidas gym pant in yellow and blue inspired by "Sporty Spice". Omg, do you remember those pants? They were everywehere! I remember I had them in all kinds of colors, lol :p
"Scary Spice" was always dressed in animal print, hence the leopard print ring finger.
And finally we have pink and a cute print representing "Baby Spice".
I was such a Spice Girls fan! I remember having books where we collected stickers and pictures of them. Me and my cousins used to dress up like Spice Girls, I always had to be "Posh", even though she was my least favorite. They said I had to be her because my smile was the same as hers, and then in the next sentence "Her smile is so ugly", lmao! I like her much better now though and I'm a huge fan of Victoria Beckham's fashion sense.
My least favorite nail is my pinky, I don't think that came out like I had hoped unfortunately. I like the thumb, it took forever getting the tape on though! I do feel like I captured all girls, the hardest was "Posh", she usually just wore black. But all five nails together, I think I can tell who it's supposed to be inspired by ;)
I am so excited to see what the other girls came up with, so go check them out too!

ReplyDeleteThis is great! And like other, I immediately knew your inspiration! :) You know what, I always had to be Posh also eventhough she wasn't really my favorite back then. I think I liked Ginger or Baby the most, though really I was even more into Backstreet Boys. :D
ReplyDeleteI really really really really wana zig-a-zig-a! Haha they were my favourite band growing up, I even went to see them in concert. I used to be sporty spice as I was a tomboy when I was younger lol. You captured each spice girl perfectly..great mani!
