2014 Year In Review

I'm a bit late to post this, since I didn't post it in the first couple weeks of January I was thinking I shouldn't post it at all. But then I decided that I want it for my self! I like to see how I have evolved through the year and basically what I have been up to!

I had pretty big plans for my blogging at the start of 2014 and I got off to a good start, but then things happened and in the second half of the year I was not as active. I'll get into that later.

But first some quick stats:

My stats look like they have gone down since 2013, but that's because the stats I used for 2013 were wrong... I used the stats provided by Blogger and Blogger stats are reported wrong and super inflated. So I used Google Analytics for my stats this year, which is more correct, though a bit of a let down, lol :p

But let's get on with the manicures!

I started the year with a pretty sparkly New Years manicure.

Then I did one of the coolest manicures I have ever done, in my humble opinion ;)

I really want to do more free hand nail art like this, it's so much fun!

This cute manicure for Valentine's.

I bought the Zoya Naturel Collection and did quite a few manicures using it, this ombre using all six shades is my favorite I think.

February was a month of popular manicures, my gradient using Zoya Payton and Deam is also one of my most popular manicures!

Also in February I did my most popular manicure of all times! I think this has been at the top of my "Most popular last 30 days" since it was published!

In March I did a guest post for the infamous Crumpet!!

I  still love this "roses on linen" manicure, and I have wanted to recreate it since I first did it. Just haven't gotten around to doing it!

I got very much into indes in 2014, and I love this sparkly, swirly manicure using Cadillaquer polishes.

Still loving this super bright pink striping tape manicure! It makes me long for spring and summer! And my long nails...

I got into paper planning again in 2014 and bought my self a Filofax (ok, that's a lie, I bought several..), and of course I had to match my nails to my Filofax ;)

I think this was my only one store manicure of 2014, I don't know why I don't do them more often. Because I really love this technique and it looks so pretty!

In June I had the trip of a life time. I went to New York for a week with my best friend. It was the most amazing trip ever, we had so much fun and we did sooo much shopping!

From here it started to go down hill though... I don't know what New York did to my nails, but since then my nails have been weak, constantly breaking and I have barely been able to grow out a free edge. Which sort of stumped my motivation and creativity for nail art.

Also, I met my boyfriend in April and during the summer we started to get more serious and spent more and more time together and my time for my nails was also getting limited, lol!

And third, we had the most amazing weather this summer, pretty much the best summer in seven years. So pretty much any spare time I had I spent outside and couldn't care less about my nails!

I did do some manicures though, I actually quite like this minty leopard manicure.

This manicure using some of the colors from OPI's Nordic Collection.

In September I published a video tutorial for this scale-y looking manicure!

Since I don't have as much time for nail art as I did, I have started loving the simple and elegant manicures.

I went pink for October! This is also what I had on my nails the first time I met my bf's family, so looking at this brings back some nice memories :) Is that weird? Lol :p

Did I forget to mention how big of a fetish I have for the 'staches?

In November I was asked to join the amazing ladies of Polisher's Inc.! And my first manicure with them was reacreating an oldie.

I did not do many Christmas manicures, but I do like this one!

2014 has been an eventful year for me on a personal level, both amazingly good and some bad, it's funny how looking at these manicures jog my memory for certain things! And then in the tougher times doing my nails feel calming and relaxing and sort of helps me deal with things, does anyone else feel like that?

2015, I have no idea what's in store for me or my blog this year. I know I won't be able to post as often as I had planned in 2014. Every other day? Nope, that's not going to happen. But I want to post consistently, 2-3 times each week. As you have probably noticed I have started doing more swatches, which I really like. I'm starting to appreciate each single polish on it's own even more, and I really like wearing just one single color on my nails (whaaaaat?!). I still love nail art though, After a few days with a plain manicure it's time to spice it up again!

I have also started doing YouTube videos, which I think is really fun. It's still kind of scary putting myself out there like that, but that's just another thing to overcome, right? I might branch out into more makeup, because I love playing with makeup and sharing it with you feels like a nice excuse to play with it even more ;)
