Polisher's Inc. - Try A New Technique

Christmas water marble nail art manicure

For this week's Polisher's Inc. challenge we are trying out a new technique! I tried a new water marble technique, I've done water marble two times before, but the traditional way of dipping my finger into the water. Creating a horrible mess and lots of clean up.

This time I tried the stamper technique! I dipped my stamper into the water and let the design dry on my stamper. Once it was dry I applied a layer of top coat and waited for that to dry, then I peeled the design off the stamper and applied it to my nail like a decal!

Sooo much easier! If I didn't like how the design turned out I could just clean off my stamper and do a new one, instead of doing my entire nail all over again. This will make water marbles so much simpler!

I tried to do a Christmas themed marble, using OPI - Alpine Snow, A England - Rose Bower and  Cirque - Erda. Erda was unfortunately a bit sheer, so the green in this manicure might be too light for it to be "super Christmasy", but Rose Bower worked pretty well for marbling!

  1. Hmmm ... that's an interesting idea for watermarble. I love the look, but I've not tried watermarble so far because of the mess and the apparent difficulty. This might be a better place for me to start. :)

  3. That's interesting! I've never tried that before but since I absolutely dread water marbling, this could suit me better :D
