Today I have swatches of the entire OPI Nordic Collection! I felt like I had to get the entire collection since I am from Norway ;) Also, all of the shades in this collection are pretty, and since it's a while since I bought myself some new polish, I could justify adding this to my stash :)
I have done a swatch and review video as well as all the pictures in this post, have a look at it here!
OPI - Thank Glogg It's Friday, two coats + top coat.
The only red, and only shimmer polish out of the 12. A deep burgundy red with fuschia shimmer. In some lights the shimmer even looks blue!
Super, shiny, gorgeous! The shimmer is not so visible on the nail, but it gives the polish a beautiful glow.
OPI - Viking In A Vinter Vonderland, two coats + top coat.
Please excuse the weird color of my fingers in the above picture, tried editing it so the polish was true to color ;)
Viking In A Vinter Vonderland is a beautiful dark plum colored purple creme. This vampy shade almost looks black on the nail in some lights, but I am loving this for fall!
OPI - Skaing On Thin Ice-Land, two coats + top coat.
Beautiful mid tone purple shade, as all polishes in this collection, formula is spot on, but two coats is necessary for full opacity.
OPI - Do You Have This Color In Stock-Holm? two coats + top coat.
In the swatches I saw of this before I got it, this polish looked blue. But it is not blue, it's a purple color leaning towards blue, but it's definitely more purple than blue. Which did dissapoint me a little, you know how much I love blue nail polish ;) But it's a very pretty purple nonetheless.
I managed to edit these photos so you can see more of it's true purple color.
OPI - OPI With A Nice Finnish, two coats + top coat.
The only frost in the collection, it does show brush strokes, but not as much as some other frosts.
A golden shade, opaque in two coats.
OPI - My Voice Is A Little Norse, no top coat
Silver holorgraphic glitter in a slightly tintet gray base. As you can see in these swatches in can easily be built up on it's own in three coats.
Nothing groundbreaking about this glitter, but a nice silver glitter polish to get if you're looking for one!
I really like how this looks on it's own, almost like sparkly snow crystals on my nails :)
OPI - Can't Afjörd Not To, three coats + top coat.
This is the only polish I needed three coats for full opacity (except for the glitter). A very nice orange polish, however, a bit bright for a fall collection in my opinion...
Even though it is surprising to find such bright shades in a fall collection, they do bring a nice breath of fresh air.
OPI - Suzie Has A Sweede Tooth, two coats + top coat.
Another bright shade, not exactly reminiscent of fall, but gosh what a gorgeous pink!
A bright, bright, beautiful pink polish, one of my favorites from this collection actually ;)
OPI - My Dogsled Is A Hybrid, two coats + top coat.
A mint colored polish, definitely reminds me more of spring and summer than fall, but oh such a lovely shade!
OPI - How Great Is Your Dane? two coats + top coat.
This is actually my biggest surprise, I was not a fan of how it looks in the bottle, but on the nail it is absolutely gorgeous! A dark warm gray/brown, it was love at first coat! (see what I did there?)
I have worn this as a full manicure twice already, and it will be used lots more this season ;)
OPI - Ice-Bergers & Fries, two coats + top coat.
Mid tone, warm brown shade. Like all brown/nude shades, whether you like them or not will be depending on your skin tone, and taste of course. If you have a warmer skin tone, this will probably suit you well.
Also, if you like chocolate, you might like this one too, it reminds me of meltet chocolate on my nails ;)
OPI - Going My Way Or Norway? two coats + top coat.
Light brown, beige, the lightest of the browns, a pretty slightly darker than nude nail polish. If you like neutral shades, but not nude, this could be the perfect shade for you! Depending on your skintone of course ;)
What do you think of this collection? What are your favorite shades? Anyone you can't live without?
PS. Please excuse any typos, I'm rushing to publish this before I'm running out the door to go to London for a few days! Yay! :D Please leave any tips on where to buy nail polish in London if you have any ;)
These are nice. Great swatches of them.
ReplyDeleteI've seen and swatched these colors, and " Do You Have This Color In Stock-Holm?" is WAY more blue than that. It is a blue-purple, no where nearly as true purple as you have depicted it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous swatches! Great post dear!
ReplyDeleteHow Great is Your Dane was definitely a surprise favourite of mine too!! Great swatches Lisa! :)
