Inspired by some of the amazing lace manicure by Lucy of Lucy's Stash, I decided to try to create some lace doily half moons myself! They did not turn out half as great as hers though, her tiny details are amazing! But I still like my result :)
I wanted it to be cute and girly and used Picture Polish - Fairy Floss as a base. I needed three coats for this, but that was all my fault, my hands were shaking so badly I could not for the life of me apply it evenly!
My shaky hands also caused problems when painting the lace. I actually have a problem with hands shaking a lot, pretty much all the time, people even comment on it. And some days it's worse, especially if I'm very tired, sometimes I even drop food off my fork, lol! And this was one of those days, but I still wanted to do my nails, so I did my best :p And honestly I don't think it turned out too bad, because it's supposed to look like lace I don't think it matters too much if the lines are not completely even.
I painted the lace pattern using white acrylic paint and finished it all with a coat of Poshé.
This manicure is so soft and elegant. I like it :-)
