piCture pOlish - pirouette and fairy floss in a failed stamping decal attempt...
piCture pOlish - fairy floss the perfect barbie pink! I am in love! This was two easy peasy coats and it covered perfectly.
Look at this color, I will we all over this color this summer!
piCture pOlish - pirouette, anotherr perfect rosy shade, and it's holographic!
Unfortunately the lack of sun does not make for great holo-polish-photography, but you can see some of the holo in this picture with flash.
I love this shade both with and without holo, so it really doesn't matter if I wear it on a sunny day or not :)
I thought these two shades would work well together in nail art. And I wanted to try my hand at stamping decals after seeing Lucy's tutorials. Well, I was wrong, they don't work as well together as I hoped, at least not with this design, and I failed horribly at stamping decals :-S
I almost don't want to show you this manicure, because I feel like I'm ruining two gorgeous polishes... But this is a blog about my nail art adventures, also the failed ones.
For my middle finger I tried the "reversed"-stamping technique, with worked ok. However I wasn't careful enough and did not paint all the way to the outer lines of the stamp. Also, when I stamped it on to my nail it became a little misshapen... I figured I'd give it a second shot on my ring finger, I painted more carefully, but when I stamped it on it was all kinds of misshapen! So I took it off and decided to try the decal thing. I did an ok job with the painting, putting it on the nail was a bit difficult, and I sort of "wrinkled" the polish underneath a little. And I managed to smudge it when applying top coat... UGH!
It's a cool technique though, and I want to master it, so I will defenitely try again!
Looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteFrom my viewpoint, it looks like a pretty manicure. I think you are more critical because you are the one who put the work and effort onto it. I have not ventured into stamping at all. I cannot even do a decent manicure with dots yet! I love the polishes you used, especially the Fairy Floss.
