Inspired by fashion

I completely fell for this dress by Victoria Beckham for Fall/Winter 2013, and I thought the pattern and colors would translate nicely to nail art!

I started with a base of Deborah Lippmann - Fashion, two coats. When that was dry I taped off sections of the nails and painted using Linda Johansen - To The Blues and OPI - Lady In Black. I did not have patience to wait for the blue and/or black to dry, so I did not use tape between them. I guess it would have looked much cleaner and sharper if I did, but... what ever ;)

I added a matte top coat (Essie - Matte About You) to complete the look.

I like the idea of this mani, the clean lines, the contrasting colors, how cool it looks in matte. But it is really not very me, it felt weird wearing it, lol.

 

I like how it looks in pictures though!
