Dancing with the stars

I have been so busy the past week, that I have not had time to write up a blog post. I have a couple of manicures done, all photographed, but just no time to post! Anyway.... Karianne is having a contest where the theme is "inspired by Dancing with the stars/ballroom dancing".

So I went googling for ideas and came across this dress that I inspired my contest entry!

I started with a coat of Linda Johansen - Violetta, and then I sponged a gradient using Essie - 102

To start the sparkly design I sponged a little bit of holographic silver glitter at the top using Viva La Diva - 72.

Then I added stripes using a silver glitter from Depend and smaller stripes on top of them again using OPI - Solitaire.

To finish it all, one coat of top coat an a rhinestone on each nail for extra sparkle :)

I had originally planned to do a skittlette mani, but when I started I completely forgot about it, lol. I kind of regret not doing it, I would love to pair this with a couple of silver glitter nails.

What do you think? Is it sparkly, glamorous and reminiscent of ballroom dancing?
