Purple summer chevrons

Today I'm doing two birds with one stone! (Or something like that) I wanted to do a new challenge after I finish my Laid Back 31 DC, and when I came across the June nail art challenge on Instagram I immediately wanted to join!

I still have three more 31DC manis to do though, and because of lack of time I decided to make my first June challenge mani incorporate my 31DC mani (or is it maybe the other way around?) with the theme "purple".

I'm unsure if this is a very "summery" mani, but it is bright! Which is kind of "summery", isn't it? And for some reason chevrons remind me of summer... :)

Pink polish is OPI - Lucky Lucky Lavender, silver is Gina Tricot - Silver Metallic and the purple is Essie - 102.

I do not have patience to wait for my polish to dry before adding tape, so I have one coat of Poshé between each color. I have so much polish on my tips right now my nails look fake, lol :p

  2. Such a pretty and elegant design :) And I totally understand you, I love tape manis, but waiting for the nail polish to dry between the layers can be a real pain :D But on this design, you don't even see the build up that much, so all is good :)

  3. I absolutely love the softness of this mani and agree with you - I sometimes also don't have the patience to go for a tape mani! I notice, due to warmer weather, that my polish takes longer to dry and I just can't stand the wait. But your nails don't look fake at all - they're lovely! :D
