Moustached

Essie - Castaway swatch moustache manicure stamping pink

Base: Essie - Castaway
Stamped: QA28 using black stamping polish from the born pretty store.

I wanted something really simple and fresh after all my intricate manicures.

Why is it that the simplest manicures always give me the hardest times? The base is gorgeous, I love the color, but the formula was really hard to work with! It was thin and streaky, I needed three coats for full non streaky coverage, also the brush was tiny. Why do some Essie polishes have a tiny brush and some a large brush? And then the stupid stamping. It's off center, even though I was so careful when placing it. It didn't transfer properly and the lines are not very sharp. I'm wondering if it might have something to do with the stamping polish? Most reviews I've read have had good results with this polish, but I just couldn't get the lines sharp...

Oh well! It's still a cute manicure though :) I'll just say that the crooked stamp gives it personality :p

  3. I'm with you on that one - stamping also poses some serious nightmares to me ;)
I guess it's a matter of habit and the right assortment of polishes.
Still loving this mani though - simple yet cute :)
