ZOMG!! Tetris nails!!!

I thought long and hard about the theme "Inspired by a game" for the 31DC. I do love nails painted with amazing art, but I like to wear my manicure for a couple of days, and I don't really feel like walking around with the Grand Theft Auto logo on my nails. Especially when in client meetings at work, and especially when the client is Norway's largest company... *ahem* My nails are probably a bit too "out there" for those meetings still, but come on, I am who I am ;)

But, when I stumbled upon Sammy's tetris manicure, inspiration struck! I am a geek, and frequently use the words(?) "zomg" "ftwz" "lolz", and play video games (GTA as mentioned above, being one of my favorites, zomg!). As well as being a geek, I'm a girly girl, so what is more perfect than a tetris manicure using rhinestones? I am in love.

The accent nail is honestly a bit much, lol :p I would have prefered the manicure without the accent, and simply added a tetris block to my ring finger like all the other nails. But it really is a fun design!

As my base I used OPI - Lady In Black. I applied one coat to all ten nails, then I added another coat one nail at a time and applied the rhinestones before it dried. I took the pictures before adding top coat, the top coat sort of "smooths it out" a little, and it looks better in pictures without top coat. But after taking the pictures I applied a generously amount of top coat hoping to seal the rhinestones and make the mani last a couple of days.
