Two coats of the base, the color is nice by it self, but I wanted to add a little extra! I didn't want too much, I want to keep my nails fairly plain for work, and I really like how they turned out. It's difficult to see the stamped image, you do have to concentrate a little bit to see that it's actually a rose, but I really like the subtlety it gives to the manicure. Sort of a slight 3D effect!

This is my second try at stamping! Just got my plates and stamp in the mail a few days ago. Didn't document my first try, even though I did like the result, I just didn't get around to taking pictures of it before I removed it and did a new manicure. And to be honest, stamping really isn't as hard as I expected it to be! I'd read all kinds of tutorials and blogs about stamping before I tried it, and they all made it seem incredibly difficult. Of course, among those tutorials and blog posts I did pick up a few tips and hints that probably made the process easier :)
